In Traditional Chinese Medicine, balancing our energy and preparing for the changing seasons is essential for good health. Summer is the most Yang season, representing outward energy, expansion, movement, and activity. Summer is the perfect time to use the energy stored all winter and play!
It’s interesting to note that in TCM, Summer is divided into Early and Late Summer seasons, each associated with different organs and meridians. Early Summer, which lasts from May to late July, is linked to the Heart and Small Intestine meridians and the element of Fire. Late Summer, August to late September, on the other hand, corresponds to the Spleen and Stomach meridians and the Earth element.
Immerse yourself in the YBR Holistic Summer Retreat, where we focus on rolling key points on the Heart, Small Intestine, Stomach, and Spleen meridians.
Rolling the Meridian stimulates the fascial stretch receptors in your body and generates a piezoelectric charge that powers all your body systems. This helps promote better circulation and overall wellness, allowing you to ease into the dog days of summer and keep your Qi flowing throughout your body.
